There are all kinds of places where people list their website for sale. Some of those places are forums, blogs, and website brokers.

Here is a small list where you can find an established website for sale for a low price:

1. Websites For Sale At ebay

eBay is a very good place to buy your website. There are lots of website sellers on eBay with very tempting offers. Be ware from people who can’t prove that they own the website and from people with low points and profile. Be sure to check the seller profile a few times before you try to buy a website from him.

2. The Sitepoint Marketplace which is now moved to Flippa. Personally I believe that this is the best place to find an established website to buy. People who want to sell their website have to go thru 3 stages to prove ownership of the website. Not only that, on sitepoint’s marketplace you have the option to make an escrow payment which is perfect for you.

3. DigitalPoint Forums at Websites For Sale. This is a risky place to buy an established website but you can find some bargains here. Lots of bored webmasters are selling their website on the Sitepoint Forums. I have to worn you before you rush to find a bargain. Check 10 times before you buy who is the seller, the higher his itrader the better for you. Every time someone buy’s or sell’s something on the Digitalpoint Forums, he has the option to give an itrader to the buyer and the buyer can do the same. That’s how they gain their itraders. That can explain you why you have to make sure that the seller has high itrader, or at least high post count of over 500 if he don’t have itrader.

That’s all, if you want to buy a website with existing traffic or a high pagerank than simply browse those websites. Never hurry to buy a website, you have to make a deep research before you put your money down. So how you research for topics to write about?

Simply head up to Google Keyword Tool and type a general keyword from your niche. For example, my niche is “Make Money Online” or even “Article Marketing” so in this case I will type those keywords into the keyword tool.

Now all you have to do is to look for the long tail keywords. a long tail keyword is a keyword with 3 or more words like “article marketing for online business”. When you find such a keyword simply copy it and paste it into a a Google search page.

Now is the time to look at the competition. To get high rankings in the search results you must target long tail keyword with as much high search volume you can find, and the less competition you find is better.

When you find a keyword that has 3 or more words, and it has between 500-10,000 searches, and the competition is between 3000-30,000 you have a winner.

You need to find as much long tail keywords as you can and write about those topics. Sometimes you’ll be really surprized from the results you find. You will see that people are searching for crazy things that you would never knew about if you didn’t made the keyword research before you head up to writing your article.

When you use video marketing as a promotional tool for your website, you need to create videos that are relevant for your niche, and will get people interested to know more about what you have to offer. Your video should be a sort of teaser for the main product that you’re offering, but they never get a chance to see the sales page of the main product when they get to your website. Instead, let them opt-in to your list and after they are in you should offer them a paid product. When you create your opt-in page and a free report to give to your subscribers, make it a good and informational report but always, and I mean always leave one eye closed for the reader so he will have the feeling that he must read the full report.

Another problem is that not all of us know how to create a good video that really sell’s your offer. I see a lot of marketers using the same techniques that don’t even work. The show a few pictures with a few sentences of “my product is the best, but it now from the link in the description”. Well, people who came to watch video are not in the mood of buying your products, so let them feel that everything you have to offer is absulutely free. That way you’ll get them onto your website, and from there the way to a sale is very short.

So after you have registered with clickbank and you have your own account, all you have to do to get your affiliate link is to head up to the clickbank marketplace and look for a product to promote. If you don’t know how to choose a good product than you can read here on my blog about that topic. When you are in the marketplace and you know which product you want to promote, just click on the “create hoplink” under the product description and a new window will pop-up. This new window will tell you how much you can earn per sale in percentage, and ask you to fill in your clickbank nickname and an tracking code. This tracking code is very important to use because when the sales will start rolling in you will have to know from what product they are coming, and what is the product that you are sending the most traffic. Those detailes can be found in the “statistics” on the clickbank menu.

So, simply add your nickname and add a tracking code so you will be able to identify this product afterwords. Now click on the create hoplink and walla! You have your affiliate link ready for you to promote the heck out of it.

When people are looking for information about any kind of subject, they are looking for an answer. They want to know more about something new they have heard, or something they already know and want to explore more. When you write your article you have to think as the article reader and see if your article is answering the question that people who read it want to know, that can be made easily, just look at your article title and see if the question is answered in the article body, articles are build as “question” and “answer” so be sure to check that your article body really brings the answer to your article title, that simple!

2. What people need from your article?

What people need from your article is a simple question, they need information, not just information but useful information, they want to expand their knowledge about something, and you need to provide them with the best information you can give so that they will feel that you are an expert in the niche/subject you are writing about, what we want from an article is visitors, and visitors that get professional information will definitely drop by to the link in your resource box to find out more.

3. What are the keywords you want to target?

When you write your article, you want to promote a product for a few keywords, so that it can be shown for those keywords when people are searching the article directory or Google, as you know, your article will be indexed by Google after a short time, so your plan is to find out what are the keywords people look for in the article directory and what are the keywords people will search on Google, if you target both of them, and your keywords can match the same phrase, bingo!

Choosing targeted keywords is very important when you write an article, if you chose keywords that are not targeted, don’t expect to get to much visitors, and if you don’t know how to do it, I will show you don’t worry, if you do know then you can skip this step, but I suggest you to read it anyway, maybe you’ll learn a few new things.

This is a keyword suggestion tool from wordtracker, wordtracker is a great way to explore keywords, don’t worry, we can use the free version, if you want to get the pro version it will be a smart decision.

Now type in the search box the main/general keyword you are targeting, let’s say you are promoting a diet/fat loss product, in this case you will type “fat loss”.

You can see that wordtracker gives you your main/general keyword with sub keywords that people search for, you need to find the best keywords with most searches, but at the same time you need to find the less competition on Google for that keyword/s.
So open http://www.google.com and type your desired keyword into the search box.
I like to choose keywords that have less than 300,000 results because I know I can make it with my article to the first page of Google, and I like the competition so why not?
If you are a newbie for article marketing, I suggest you to pick keywords that have less than 100,000, you can start from there.
Another trick I use to know if I can rank with my article on Google is to look on the first pages of the results, if I see a youtube video on the first page, I know the competition will be more easy that if I see a youtube video on the third page, youtube is a very popular site that rank for 1000’s of 1000’s of keywords, and it has a pagerank that a regular page just can’t beat, so why even bother?
