With all the hosting packages out there it’s really confusing for a newbie to choose a hosting plan. There all kinds of companies out there offering all sort of packages, but what’s the best package for you?
Well, the answer lies in your needs, but as a starter you should probably choose the cheapest package you can find, but you have to make sure that your hosting plan will support the kind of files that you want to host.
If you are going to host a script for example, you might need to host php or asp files. In that case you should choose a hosting plan who supports those kind of files. If you are going to host simple html files than you should choose the lighter package.
Where do you find good and reliable hosting companies?
There are all sorts of ways to find a good hosting companies. Here are a few of them.
Read reviews – If you are browsing forums than you can find lots of helpful reviews from people who already host their files with hosting companies. All you have to do is to read reviews they have written. If you still can’t find reviews, you might want to start a new thread and ask the forum members where they host their files and if they are happy with their hosting companies.
Hosting Directories – There are a lot of hosting directories who are offering hosting comparison. This is a great way to find good hosting companies and hosting plans. Always remember that as a marketer your aim is to make money and not to spend it, so choose exactly what you need and don’t pay to much for things you don’t even need.
Browsing For Them – You can always use the old formula of just browsing for hosting companies. I found my hosting company that way and I’m really in love with them. When you’re browsing for companies make sure to take your time and double check what you get and what you don’t get. Sometimes you can register with a company who offer you a whole lot of place to host your files but in the other hand they will give you a very low monthly transfer, which is very important if you believe you are going to have a lot of traffic.
Be sure to check everything and if you have any question ask them. I know that it;s very exciting to buy hosting and to rush forward with those things, but if you want to have a reliable hosting company that will support you when you need them than take your time and read every word in their sales page. I heard about lots of cases where people were just stuck with a hosting company which they chose in a hurry, and believe me you don’t want to be in that situation.
