Because I know how frustrating it is to install a script for newbies, I will now how easy it is, and show you the exact steps to install wordpress on your hosting account. If you don’t know what is a hosting account than please read my previous post about buying a domain name.
The post can be found here:

Now, let’s get started!
First you’ll need to download the Wordpress download package into your local computer, so head over to wordpress.com and download your package. Now when you have it on your computer, simply unzip the content of the .zip file into a folder you can easily find when this is done.
To upload the files you have now to your hosting account you’ll have to get a software like SmartFTP that is a paid software, or use a free one from FileZilla. Both of them will probably do the same job, so if you’re just starting out you can use the FileZilla until you feel you control the software, then you can get a better one that suits your needs.
Now, download any FTP software you want and install it on your computer. You can start the installation of any of these software’s by using the .EXE file inside the installation package, then just follow the step showed on by the software on your screen. After the installation has been finished, restart your computer. But hey, don’t be dumb and bookmark this page before you do it
So, now you have an FTP software installed, you have the wordpress files that you need to upload, and we need only one more thing. The login details to your FTP account. If you don’t have the details, simply call or contact your hosting provider by email and ask them for the details. If you don’t want to wait for them to answer you can login to your hosting account and see the info there. It’s the easiest and fastest way to do it.
Now open your FTP software and it should look simillar like that:
This is a screenshot taken from my FTP software called CuteFTP. The one I use the most is SmartFTP. Your FTP software should have the same options as mine, so all you have to do is add your login details into the right area’s and click on “Connect”. Once you see the files that are located on your server, simply locate the directory on your computer where the wordpress files are in and drag them into the FTP software window. Now the software should start to upload your files one by one until all the files are uploaded. Once you have all the files uploaded to your server you’ll need to setup a database for the script. The database is the place where all the information of the blog and all the posts and comments are stored. To create a new database simply log into your hosting account and click on the “create new database”. Creating a database is really easy, just choose a database name and user name, choose your password and you’re done!
Now that you have the database detailes head over to the installation directory of wordpress using
http://www.yourdomain.com/WordpressInstallationDirectory
And follow the steps given there. Don’t forget to copy the password into a notepad .txt file and double check that it’s saved and working BEFORE you continue to the admin panel, if you’ll not save the password and try to login and get an error, you’ll need to start over, so be careful.
